Finally, my brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honest, whatever things are right, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue and if there is any praise, think on these things.

Let us walk becomingly, as in the day; not in carousings and drinking; not in co-habitation and lustful acts; not in strife and envy.

For the rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the bad. And do you desire to be not afraid of the authority? Do the good, and you shall have praise from it.

For he who serves Christ in these things is well-pleasing to God, and approved by men.

but he is a Jew who is one inwardly, and circumcision is of the heart; in spirit and not in letter; whose praise is not from men, but from God.

Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts. And then shall each one have praise of God.

But I pray to God for you not to do evil, none. And not that we may appear approved, but that you should do the good things, though we are deemed to be reprobates.

through glory and dishonor, through evil report and good report; as deceivers and yet true;

And we have sent with him the brothers whose praise is in the gospel throughout all the churches;

providing for honest things, not only before the Lord, but also before men.

But the fruit of the Spirit is: love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faith,

Therefore putting away lying, let each man speak truth with his neighbor, for we are members of one another.

Therefore stand, having your loins girded about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness

You shall follow that which is altogether just, that you may live and inherit the land which Jehovah your God gives you.

Finally, my brothers, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you is indeed not grievous to me, but for you it is safe.

Walk in wisdom toward those on the outside, redeeming the time.

so that you may walk becomingly toward those outside, and that you may lack nothing.

for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.

Even so their wives are to be reverent, not slanderers, temperate, faithful in all things.

ruling his own house well, having children in subjection with all honor.

Let no one despise your youth, but be an example of the believers, in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

well reported of for good works: if she brought up children, if she lodged strangers, if she washed the feet of saints, if she relieved the afflicted, if she followed after every good work.

older women as mothers, the younger as sisters in all purity.

but hospitable, a lover of good, discreet, just, holy, temperate,

who gave Himself for us that He might redeem us from all iniquity and purify to Himself a special people, zealous of good works.

aged men to be temperate, sensible, discreet, sound in faith, in love, in patience.

In all things having shown yourself a pattern of good works: in the doctrine, purity, sensibleness, without corruption,

And let ours also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, so that they may not be unfruitful.

For by it the elders obtained a good report.

Pray for us; for we trust we have a good conscience, in all things willing to live honestly.

Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, to visit orphans and widows in their afflictions, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.

But the wisdom that is from above is first truly pure, then peaceable, gentle, easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.

Purifying your souls in the obedience of the truth through the Spirit to unfeigned love of the brothers, love one another fervently out of a pure heart,

having your conduct honest among the nations, in that which they speak against you as evildoers, they may glorify God in a day of His visitation, seeing your good works.

And above all things have fervent love to yourselves, for love will cover a multitude of sins.

Beloved, I now write this second letter to you, in which I stir up your pure mind by reminder

My children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.

And everyone who has this hope on him purifies himself, even as that One is pure.

Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but try the spirits to see if they are of God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

And now, my daughter, do not fear. I will do to you all that you ask. For all the city of my people knows that you are a woman of virtue.
