Only by pride comes argument, but with those who take advice is wisdom.

How long shall I bear with this evil congregation, which murmurs against Me? I have heard the murmurings of the sons of Israel which they murmur against Me.

And in those days, the disciples having multiplied, a murmuring of the Hellenists against the Hebrews occurred, because their widows were overlooked in the daily serving.

If it is possible, as far as is in you, being in peace with all men.

And receive him who is weak in the faith, but not to judgments of your thoughts.

And I exhort you, brothers, to watch those making divisions and offenses contrary to the doctrine which you have learned, and avoid them.

Nor murmur as some of them also murmured and were destroyed by the destroyer.

For I fear, lest somehow coming I might not find you as I wish, and that I shall be found by you such as you might not wish; lest somehow there be strifes, envyings, angers, contentions, backbitings, whisperings, proud thoughts, tumults;

But if you bite and devour one another, take heed that you are not consumed by one another.

Let us not become glory-seeking, provoking one another, envying one another.

Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than themselves.

and to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. Be at peace among yourselves.

See that none gives evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue the good, both towards one another and towards all.

Follow peace with all, and holiness, without which no one shall see the Lord;

For the wrath of man does not work out the righteousness of God.

But if you have bitter jealousy and strife in your hearts, do not glory and lie against the truth.

Do not grudge against one another, brothers, lest you be condemned. Behold, the Judge stands before the door.

Let him turn aside from evil and do good. Let him seek peace and pursue it.

Be hospitable to one another, without grudging;

These are murmurers, complainers, leading lives according to their lusts. And their mouth speaks proud things, admiring faces for the sake of gain.
