I thank my God upon every remembrance of you,
But thanks be to our God that you were the slaves of sin, but you have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered.
I thank my God always on your behalf for the grace of God given you in Jesus Christ,
For what thanks can we render to God again for you, for all the joy with which we rejoice for your sakes before our God,
