Therefore, having much boldness in Christ to enjoin you to do the fitting thing;
For even if I also should boast somewhat more fully of our authority (which the Lord has given us for building up, and not for pulling you down) I will not be put to shame;
I speak according to dishonor, as though we have been weak. But in whatever anyone dares (I speak foolishly), I also dare.
Then since we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech.
neither baseness, foolish talking, jesting, which are not becoming, but rather giving of thanks.
But also suffering before, being insulted in Philippi, as you know, we were bold in our God to speak to you the gospel of God in much agony.
Nor did we seek glory from men, neither from you nor from others, being able to be so with heaviness, as apostles of Christ.
