yet because this widow troubles me, I will avenge her, that she not wear me down in the end.
And they sent to me four times in this way. And I answered them in the same way.
But He did not answer her a word. And His disciples came and begged Him, saying, Send her away, for she cries after us.
I say to you, though he will not rise and give to him because he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will arise and give him as many as he needs.
And a widow was in that city. And she came to Him, saying, Avenge me of my adversary.
And they who were in front rebuked him that he should be quiet. But he cried so much the more, Son of David! Have mercy on me.
But I buffet my body, and lead it captive, lest proclaiming to others I myself might be rejected.
And it happened because she distressed him with her words daily, and urged him; and his soul was grieved to death.
