Why do you go about so much to change your way? You also shall be ashamed of Egypt, as you were ashamed of Assyria.

Shout against her all around. She has given her hand; her foundations have fallen, her walls have been thrown down; for it is the vengeance of Jehovah. Take vengeance on her. As she has done, do to her.

While we are, our eyes fail, for our help is vain; in our watching we have watched for a nation; it does not save.

And he has despised the oath by breaking the covenant. And, behold, he had given his hand, and has done all these, he shall not escape.

Ephraim feeds on wind and follows after the east wind. He daily multiplies lies and cruelty. And they make a covenant with the Assyrians, and oil is carried into Egypt.

When Ephraim saw his sickness, and Judah saw his wound, then Ephraim went to the Assyrian and sent to King Jareb. Yet he could not heal you nor cure you of your wound.

Ephraim also is like a silly dove without heart; they call to Egypt; they go to Assyria.

They shall not dwell in Jehovah's land; but Ephraim shall return to Egypt, and they shall eat unclean things in Assyria.
