And there was much murmuring among the crowd concerning Him, for some said, He is a good man; others said, No, but he deceives the crowd.

It is enough for the disciple that he is like his master, and the servant like his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more those of his household?

But seeking to lay hands on Him, they feared the crowd, because they held Him for a prophet.

saying, Sir, we remember that that deceiver said, while He was living, After three days I will rise again.

And Jesus said to him, Why do you call Me good? None is good except One, God.

And fear came on all. And they glorified God, saying, A great prophet has risen up among us; and, God has visited His people.

Then seeing the miracle that Jesus did, those men said, This is truly the Prophet, the One coming into the world.

The Pharisees heard that the crowd murmured such things concerning Him. And the Pharisees and the chief priests sent officers to seize Him.

Then the Pharisees answered them, Also, have you not been deceived?

They answered and said to him, Are you also from Galilee? Search the scriptures and see that a prophet has not been raised out of Galilee.

Therefore some of the Pharisees said, This man is not from God, because he does not keep the sabbath. Others said, How can a man, a sinner, do such miracles? And there was a division among them.

For he was a good man and full of the Holy Spirit and faith. And many people were added to the Lord.

For one will with difficulty die for a righteous one, yet perhaps one would even dare to die for a good one.
