Then Pilate entered into the praetorium again and called Jesus and said to him, Are you the king of the Jews?

Behold, the days come, says Jehovah, that I will raise to David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and act wisely, and shall do judgment and justice in the earth.

Jehovah has turned off your judgments; He has cast out your enemy. The king of Israel, Jehovah, is in your midst; you shall not fear evil any more.

Jesus answered him, Do you say this thing of yourself, or did others say it to you about Me?

Pilate then said to Him, Are you a king then? Jesus answered, You say it that I am a king. To this end I was born, and for this cause I came into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.

Pilate said to Him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again to the Jews and said to them, I find no fault in him.

From this time, Pilate sought to release Him. But the Jews cried out, saying, If you let this man go, you are not Caesar's friend. Whoever makes himself a king speaks against Caesar.

and said, Hail, King of the Jews! And they struck Him with their hands.

Then Pilate went out again and said to them, Behold, I bring him out to you so that you may know that I find no fault in him.

And he went again into the praetorium and said to Jesus, Where are you from? But Jesus gave him no answer.

I charge you before God (who makes all things alive) and in the sight of Christ Jesus (who witnessed the good confession to Pontius Pilate),
