He who loves his life shall lose it. And he who hates his life in this world shall keep it to life eternal.

He who finds his life shall lose it. And he who loses his life for My sake shall find it.

Whoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it, and whoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.

For whoever will save his life shall lose it; but whoever shall lose his life for My sake and the gospel's, he shall save it.

For whoever desires to save his life shall lose it, and whoever desires to lose his life for My sake shall find it.

Therefore I hated life; because the work that is done under the sun is sad to me; for all is vanity and vexation of spirit.

Then Paul answered, What are you doing, weeping and breaking my heart? For I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.

Women received their dead raised to life again, and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance, that they might obtain a better resurrection.
