Whom, though I were righteous, yet I would not answer; I seek mercy for my judgment.

And he prayed to Him, and He was entreated of him, and heard his prayer, and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. And Manasseh knew that Jehovah is God.

If I am wicked, woe to me; and if I am righteous, I will not lift up my head, being filled with shame, and looking on my affliction.

I will say to God, Do not condemn me; make me know why You contend with me.

You shall make your prayer to Him, and He shall hear you, and you shall pay your vows.

There the righteous might reason with Him; and I would be delivered forever from my Judge.

Once I have spoken; but I will not answer; yea, twice, but I will go no further.

Truly, I would seek to God, and to God I would put my plea,

if you would seek earnestly to God and make your prayer to the Almighty;

If I had called and He had answered me, yet would I not believe that He had listened to my voice;

If I justify myself, my own mouth shall condemn me; though I am perfect, He shall declare me perverse.

Though I were perfect, yet I would not know my soul. I would despise my life.

They shall come with weeping, and with prayers I will lead them. I will cause them to walk by the rivers of waters in a straight way; they shall not stumble in it, for I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is My firstborn.

O my God, bow down Your ear and hear. Open Your eyes and behold our ruins, and the city which is called by Your name. For we do not present our prayers before You on account of our righteousnesses, but because of Your great mercies.

And I set my face toward the Lord God, to seek by prayer and holy desires, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes.

for I know nothing by myself. Yet I have not been justified by this, but He who judges me is the Lord.

who when He was reviled did not revile in return. When He suffered, He did not threaten, but gave Himself up to Him who judges righteously.
