And why do You not pardon my transgression, and take away my iniquity? For now I shall sleep in the dust, and You shall seek me in the morning, but I shall not be.

And David's heart struck him after he had numbered the people. And David said to Jehovah, I have sinned greatly in what I have done. And now, I beseech You, O Jehovah, take away the iniquity of Your servant, for I have done very foolishly.

If I sin, then You mark me, and You will not acquit me from my iniquity.

Remember, I beseech You, that You have formed me as the clay; and will You bring me into the dust again?

Who is he that will plead for me, for now, I would be quiet and expire.

But man dies and is cut off; and man expires, and where is he?

I have said to corruption, You are my father; to the worm, My mother and my sister!

He flies away like a dream, and shall not be found, and shall be chased away like a vision of the night.

The rich man shall lie down, but he shall not be gathered. He opens his eyes, and he is not.

For now I should have lain still and been quiet; I should have slept. Then I would have been at rest

You said, I am pure, without transgression; I am innocent, and no iniquity is in me;

The eye of him who has seen me shall see me no more; Your eyes are on me, and I am gone.

And Bildad the Shuhite answered and said,

I am afraid of all my sorrows; I know that You will not hold me innocent.

As for man, his days are as grass; as a flower of the field, so he flourishes.

Yet he passed away, and, lo, he was not; and I looked for him, but he could not be found.

then the dust shall return to the earth as it was, and the spirit shall return to God who gave it.

Your dead ones shall live, together with my dead body they shall arise. Awake and sing, you who dwell in the dust; for your dew is as the dew of lights, and the earth shall cast out the dead.

Do not be grievously angry, O Jehovah, nor remember iniquity forever. Behold! Look, please; all of us are Your people.

And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

Take with you words, and turn to Jehovah. Say to Him, Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously, that we may repay with the calves of our lips.

The next day John sees Jesus coming to him and says, Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!

who gave Himself for us that He might redeem us from all iniquity and purify to Himself a special people, zealous of good works.

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

And you know that He was revealed that He might take away our sins, and in Him is no sin.
