I have heard many such things. You are all miserable comforters.

For the ear tries words, as the palate tastes food.

Right words are powerful, but what does your arguing argue?

Is there wrong in my tongue? Cannot my taste discern desirable things?

Does the wild ass bray when he has grass? Or does the ox low over his fodder?

My soul refuses to touch them; they are sickening food to me.

How sweet are Your Words to my taste! More than honey to my mouth!

And every sacrifice of your food offering shall you season with salt. And you shall not allow the salt of the covenant of your God to be lacking from your food offering. You shall offer salt with all your offerings.

You are the salt of the earth, but if the salt loses its savor, with what shall it be salted? It is no longer good for anything, but to be thrown out and to be trodden underfoot by men.

Salt is good, but if the salt has become tasteless, with what shall it be seasoned?

Let your speech be always with grace, having been seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one.
