Man born of woman is of few days, and full of trouble.

Is there not a warfare to man on earth? Are not his days also like the days of a hireling?

The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by strength they are fourscore years, yet their pride is labor and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.

All things are full of labor; man cannot utter it; the eye is not satisfied with seeing, nor the ear filled with hearing.

For what has man from all his labor, and from the troubling of his heart, in which he has labored under the sun?

For all his days are sorrows, and his labor sadness; yea, his heart does not take rest in the night. This is also vanity.

Why did I come forth from the womb to see labor and sorrow, that my days should be consumed in shame?

No temptation has taken you but what is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but with the temptation also will make a way to escape, so that you may be able to bear it.
