For the ear heard and blessed me. And the eye saw me and witnessed to me.

I chose out their way, and sat as chief; and I lived like a king in the army, as one who comforts the mourners.

Behold, you have instructed many, and you have made the weak hands strong.

But now it has come upon you, and you faint. It touches you, and you are troubled.

Jehovah upholds all who fall, and raises up all those bowed down.

There are those who speak like the thrusts of a sword, but the tongue of the wise heals.

But He who comforts the lowly comforted us by the coming of Titus.

Now we exhort you, brothers, warn those who are unruly, comfort the faint-hearted, support the weak, be patient toward all.

Because of this, straighten up the hands which hang down and the enfeebled knees.
