Judah is a lion's whelp. My son, you have gone up from the prey. He stooped, he crouched like a lion; and like a lioness, who shall rouse him?

And, behold, a great wind came from the wilderness and struck the four corners of the house, and it fell upon the young men, and they are dead. And I only have escaped alone to tell you.

His sons shall seek to please the poor, and his hands shall restore his wealth.

I broke the fangs of the wicked, and plucked the prey out of his teeth.

Will you hunt the prey for the lion, or fill the appetite of the young lions,

But He saves the poor from the sword, from their mouth, and from the hand of the mighty.

His children are far from safety, and they are crushed in the gate, nor is there any to deliver them.

The young lions lack, and suffer hunger; but those who seek Jehovah shall not lack any good thing.

Come, listen to me, my sons; I will teach you the fear of Jehovah.

lest he tear my soul like a lion, tearing it in pieces, and there is no one to deliver.

The lion has come up from his thicket, and the destroyer of the nations has set out; he has left his place to make your land a waste. Your cities will fall into ruins without inhabitant.

They shall walk after Jehovah; He shall roar like a lion. When He shall roar, then the sons shall tremble from the west.

Behold, the people shall rise up like a great lion, and lift up himself like a young lion. He shall not lie down until he eats of the prey and drinks the blood of the slain.

He crouched. He lay down as a lion, and as a great lion. Who shall stir him up? Blessed is he who blesses you, and cursed is he who curses you.

But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me, that through me the preaching might be fulfilled, and that all the nations might hear. And I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.
