Why do you, like God, persecute me and are not satisfied with my flesh?

For they persecute him whom You have stricken, and they talk to the grief of those You pierced.

who also eat the flesh of My people, and strip their skin off them. And they break their bones and chop them in pieces, like that in the pot, like those in the middle of the kettle.

But I will put it into the hand of those who afflict you, who have said to your soul, Bow down so that we may cross; and put your back as the ground, even as the street to those who cross.

if the men of my camp did not say, Who can find one who has not been satisfied with his meat?

God has delivered me to the perverse; and turned me over into the hands of the wicked.

Will You terrify a leaf driven to and fro? Will You pursue the dry stubble?

For it increases! You hunt me as a fierce lion; and again You show Yourself marvelous on me.

But indeed put forth Your hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will curse You to Your face.

Why do You hide Your face, and hold me for Your enemy?

know now that God has overthrown me, and His net has closed on me.

For you ought to say, Why do we persecute him, since the root of the matter is found in me?

You changed to be cruel to me; with Your mighty hand You assault me.

Add iniquity to their iniquity, and let them not come into Your righteousness.
