The nations have sunk down in the pit that they made; their foot is caught in the net which they hid.

Therefore snares are all around you, and sudden fear troubles you;

Let destruction come upon him, he will not know; and let his net which he has concealed catch him, let him fall in it, into destruction.

If it pleases the king, let it be written that they may be destroyed. And I will pay ten thousand talents of silver to the hands of those who have charge of the business, to bring it into the king's treasuries.

Their harvest the hungry eats, and takes it even out of the thorns; and the snare swallows up their wealth.

The trap shall take him by the heel, and the noose shall hold sway over him.

know now that God has overthrown me, and His net has closed on me.

Dread, and the pit, and the snare are on you, O dweller of the earth.

And it shall be, he who flees from the sound of dread shall fall into the pit. And he who comes up out of the midst of the pit shall be taken in the snare. For the windows from on high are opened, and the foundations of the earth quake.
