Dead ones do not live; departed spirits do not rise. Therefore You have visited and destroyed them, and made all memory of them to perish.

His memory shall perish from the earth, and there is no name to him on the face of the street.

The womb shall forget him; the worm shall feed sweetly on him; he shall be remembered no more; and injustice shall be broken like a tree.

Let his posterity be cut off; and in the generation following let their name be blotted out.

The memory of the just is blessed; but the name of the wicked shall rot.

For the living know that they shall die; but the dead do not know anything, nor do they have any more a reward; for their memory is forgotten.

And what will you do in the day of judgment and in destruction, of ruin when it comes from afar? To whom will you flee for help? And where will you leave your glory?

Your dead ones shall live, together with my dead body they shall arise. Awake and sing, you who dwell in the dust; for your dew is as the dew of lights, and the earth shall cast out the dead.

You shall be visited by Jehovah of Hosts with thunder, and with earthquake and great noise, with storm and whirlwind, and the flame of devouring fire.

and have cast their gods into the fire, for they were no gods, but the work of men's hands, wood and stone; so they have destroyed them.

And when they shall say to you, Seek to the mediums and to wizards who peep and mutter; should not a people seek to their God, than for the living to the dead?

saying, Arise, and take the child and His mother. And go into the land of Israel. For the ones who sought the child's life are dead.

And there you shall serve gods, the work of men's hands, wood and stone, which neither see nor hear nor eat nor smell.

But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.
