Therefore in all things it behoved him to be made like His brothers, that He might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of His people.

And the priest killed them, and they made atonement with their blood on the altar, to make atonement for all Israel. For the king commanded the burnt offering and the sin offering to be made for all Israel.

And righteousness shall be the girdle of His loins, and faithfulness the girdle of His heart.

and one lamb out of the flock, out of two hundred, out of the watered pasture of Israel; for a food offering, and for a burnt offering, and for peace offerings, to make atonement for them, says the Lord Jehovah.

And it shall be the ruler's part to give burnt offerings and food offerings and drink offerings, in the feasts, and in the new moons, and in the sabbaths, in all appointed feasts of the house of Israel. He shall prepare the sin offering and the food offering and the burnt offering and the peace offerings, to make atonement for the house of Israel.

And so you shall do on the seventh of the month for each man who goes astray, and for the simple. So you shall atone for the house.

Seventy weeks are decreed as to your people and as to your holy city, to finish the transgression and to make an end of sins, and to make atonement for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the Most Holy.

And the rest of the oil in the priest's palm he shall pour on the head of him that is to be cleansed. And the priest shall make an atonement for him before Jehovah.

And he shall atone for the sanctuary, because of the uncleannesses of the sons of Israel, and because of their transgressions in all their sins. And so he shall do for the tabernacle of the congregation which remains with them in the midst of their uncleannesses.

And no sin offering, of which any of the blood is brought into the tabernacle of the congregation for atonement in the sanctuary, shall be eaten. It shall be burned up in the fire.

And he killed it. And Moses took the blood and put it on the horns of the altar all around with his finger, and purified the altar, and poured the blood at the bottom of the altar, and sanctified it, to make atonement on it.

And the priest shall make an atonement for all the congregation of the sons of Israel, and it shall be forgiven them, for it is ignorance. And they shall bring their offering, a sacrifice made by fire to Jehovah, and their sin offering before Jehovah, for their ignorance.

Therefore I have boasting in Christ Jesus as to the things pertaining to God.

For if when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.

and so that He might reconcile both to God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity in Himself.

And you, who were once alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled

and having a High Priest over the house of God,

For both He who sanctifies and they who are sanctified are all of One, for which cause He is not ashamed to call them brothers,

Since then the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He also Himself likewise partook of the same; that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death (that is, the Devil),

For truly He did not take the nature of angels, but He took hold of the seed of Abraham.

Therefore, holy brothers, called to be partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus,

who was faithful to Him who appointed Him, as Moses also was faithful in all his house.

And Moses truly was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken afterward.

Since then we have a great High Priest who has passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.

For we do not have a high priest who cannot be touched with the feelings of our infirmities, but was in all points tempted just as we are, yet without sin.

For every high priest taken from among men is ordained for men in the things pertaining to God, so that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins,

being called by God a high priest after the order of Melchizedek;

who can have compassion on the ignorant and on those who are out of the way. For he himself also is compassed with weakness.

So also Christ did not glorify Himself to be made a high priest, but He who said to Him, "You are My Son, today I have begotten You."

where the Forerunner has entered for us, even Jesus, having become a high priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.

For such a high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners and made higher than the heavens,

For the Law appoints men high priests who have infirmity, but the word of the swearing of an oath, after the Law, has consecrated the Son forever, having been perfected.

Now the sum of the things which we have spoken is this: We have such a High Priest, who has sat down on the right of the throne of the Majesty in Heaven,

For every high priest is appointed to offer gifts and sacrifices. Therefore it is necessary that this One have something to offer also.

But when Christ had become a high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building
