And he made the mercy-seat of pure gold. Two cubits and a half long, and one cubit and a half wide.

And over it were the cherubs of glory overshadowing the mercy-seat (about which we cannot now speak piece by piece.

And He is the propitiation concerning our sins, and not concerning ours only, but also concerning the sins of all the world.
