For Jehovah will pass through to strike the Egyptians. And when He sees the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, Jehovah will pass over the door, and will not allow the destroyer to come into your houses to strike you.

Through faith he kept the Passover and the sprinkling of blood, lest He who destroyed the first-born should touch them.

and to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel.

saying, Do not hurt the earth or the sea or the trees until we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.

And they were commanded not to hurt the grass of the earth, or any green thing, or any tree, but only those men who do not have the seal of God in their foreheads.
