If the spirit of the ruler rises up against you, do not leave your place; for yielding quiets great sinners.

A wrathful man stirs up fighting, but one slow to anger calms fighting.

In being slow to anger a ruler is won over, and a soft tongue breaks the bone.

There is an evil I have seen under the sun, like a sin which comes from a ruler's presence;

Do not be hasty to leave his presence. Do not take a stand in an evil thing, for he does whatever pleases him.
