No man shall take the lower or the upper millstone to pledge, for he takes a man's life to pledge.

And now when I come to your servant my father, and the boy is not with us, since his life is bound up in his life,

For you have taken a pledge from your brother for nothing, and stripped the naked of their clothing.

Two shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

And He said to them, Watch and keep yourselves from covetousness. For a man's life is not in the abundance of the things which he possesses.

When you shall besiege a city a long time in making war against it to take it, you shall not destroy its trees by forcing an axe against them. For you may eat of them, and you shall not cut them down. For is the tree of the field a man that it should go before you to lay siege?

When a man has taken a new wife, he shall not go out to war, neither shall he be charged with any duty. He shall be free at home one year, and shall cheer up his wife whom he has taken.

If a man is found stealing a person of his brothers, the sons of Israel, and makes a slave of him, or sells him, then that thief shall die. And you shall put evil away from among you.

And the voice of harpers, and of musicians. and flutists, and of trumpeters will be heard no more at all in you. And every craftsman of any craft will not be found any more in you. And the sound of a mill will never more be heard at all in you.
