And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people.
Then Jesus said to him, Unless you see signs and wonders you will not believe.
And they were not able to resist the wisdom and the Spirit by which he spoke.
And looking intently at him. all those sitting in the sanhedrin saw his face as if it were the face of an angel.
Therefore, brothers, look out among you seven men being witnessed to, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this duty.
And the saying pleased all the multitude. And they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicholas, a proselyte of Antioch.
But being full of the Holy Spirit, looking up intently into Heaven, he saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God.
And the people with one accord gave heed to those things which Philip spoke, hearing and seeing the many miracles which he did.
And truly He gave some to be apostles, and some to be prophets, and some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers,
For they having served well gain a good grade for themselves, and much boldness in the faith, those in Christ Jesus.
