I will speak of Your testimonies also before kings, and will not be ashamed.

Because I called, and you refused; I stretched out my hand, and no one paid attention;

If one answers a matter before he hears, it is folly and shame to him.

The first in his cause seems just, but his neighbor comes and searches him.

And, behold, therefore I have stretched out My hand over you, and drew back your portion. And I gave you to the will of those who hate you, the daughters of the Philistines, who are ashamed of your wicked way.

Does our law judge the Man before it hears Him and knows what He does?

Men, brothers and fathers! Hear my defense now to you.

To them I answered, It is not the custom of the Romans to deliver any man to destruction before he being accused may have the accusers face to face, and have had freedom to answer for himself concerning the accusation.

For it seems to me unreasonable to send a prisoner, and not to signify the charges against him.

Concerning all of which I am accused by Jews, king Agrippa, I think myself happy being about to make defense before you today,

But the Lord said to him, Go! For this one is a chosen vessel to Me, to bear My name before nations and kings and the sons of Israel.

But to Israel He says, "All day long I have stretched forth My hands to a disobeying and gainsaying people."
