And a certain Jew named Apollos, an Alexandrian by birth, an eloquent man mighty in the Scriptures, came to Ephesus.

And there the centurion found a ship of Alexandria sailing to Italy, and he put us on it.

Then there arose certain of the synagogue which is called the synagogue of the Libertines, and Cyrenians, and Alexandrians, and of those from Cilicia and from Asia, disputing with Stephen.

And Moses was learned in all the wisdom of the Egyptians and was mighty in words and in deeds.

But I say this, that every one of you says, I am of Paul, and I of Apollos, and I of Cephas, and I of Christ.

As regards our brother Apollos, I greatly desired him to come to you with the brothers, but it was not altogether his will that he come now. But he will come when he has opportunity.

And these things, brothers, I have in a figure transferred to myself and Apollos for your sakes, so that you might learn in us not to think of men above that which is written, so that no one of you may be puffed up against one another.

For indeed they say, the letters are weighty and powerful, but the bodily presence is weak, and his speech is contemptible.

Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

Diligently set forward Zenas the lawyer, and Apollos, that nothing may be lacking to them.
