There are men, Jews, whom you have set over the business of the province of Babylon, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. These men, O king, do not heed you. They do not serve your gods nor worship the golden image which you have set up.

And they teach customs which are not lawful for us to receive nor to do, being Romans.

But the disobeying Jews becoming jealous, and having taken aside some wicked men of the market-loafers, and gathering a crowd, they set all the city in an uproar. And coming on the house of Jason, they sought to bring them out to the mob.

And hearing these things, they troubled the crowd and the city judge.

And in the same way, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she had received the messengers and had sent them out another way?

For such is the will of God, doing good to silence the ignorance of foolish men;
