And when her masters saw that the hope of their gain went out, having seized Paul and Silas, they dragged them to the market before the rulers.

Then they came near and spoke before the king concerning the king's ban, Have you not signed a ban that every man who shall ask a petition of any god or man within thirty days, except of you, O king, shall be thrown into the lion's den? Then asking for a light he rushed in and fell trembling before Paul and Silas.

And not finding them, they drew Jason and certain brothers before the city judges, crying, These who have turned the world upside down have come here too,

And all the city was moved, and the people ran together. And laying hands on Paul, they drew him outside of the temple. And immediately the doors were shut.

But Saul ravaged the church, entering into every house. And dragging men and women, he delivered them up to prison.

For I will show him what great things he must suffer for My name's sake.

in stripes, in imprisonments, in riots, in labors, in watchings, in fastings;

having the same conflict which you saw in me, and now hear to be in me.

But also suffering before, being insulted in Philippi, as you know, we were bold in our God to speak to you the gospel of God in much agony.

For the love of money is a root of all evils, of which some having lusted after, they were seduced from the faith and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

But you dishonored the poor one. Do not rich men oppress you and draw you before the judgment seats?
