And David said to Gad, I am in great distress. Let us fall now into the hand of Jehovah, for His mercies are great. And do not let me fall into the hand of man.

To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David, when Nathan the prophet came to him, after he had gone in to Bathsheba. Have mercy on me, O God, according to Your loving-kindness; according to the multitude of Your tender mercies, blot out my transgressions.

And David said to Gad, I am in great distress. Let me fall now into the hand of Jehovah, for His mercies are very great. But do not let me fall into the hand of man.

And he prayed to Jehovah and said, Please, O Jehovah, was this not my saying when I was still in my land? On account of this I fled before to Tarshish. For I knew that You are a gracious God, and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and One who repents over calamity.

Jehovah is good to all; and His tender mercies are over all His works.

But there is forgiveness with You, that You may be feared.

But You, O God, are God full of pity, and gracious, long-suffering, and rich in mercy and truth.

Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return to Jehovah, and He will have mercy on him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.

I was angry with My people, I have polluted My inheritance, and given them into your hand. You showed them no mercy; you have very heavily laid your yoke on the aged.

A righteous one understands the soul of his animal; but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.

For You, Lord, are good and ready to forgive, and rich in mercy to all those who call on You.

And the servant of the man of God arose early and went out. And, behold, an army surrounded the city, and horses and chariots. And his servant said to him, Alas, my master! What shall we do?

And the men of Israel saw that they were in a tight place (for the people were distressed). And the people hid themselves in caves, and in thickets, and in rocks, and in high places, and in pits.

For I am pressed together by the two: having a desire to depart and to be with Christ, which is far better.

And My soul is troubled, and what shall I say? Father, save Me from this hour? But for this cause I came to this hour.

And with great anger I am angry at the nations at ease; in that I was but a little angry, and they gave help for evil.

Who is a God like You, who pardons iniquity and passes by the transgression of the remnant of His heritage? He does not keep His anger forever, because He delights in mercy.

And he bowed himself and said, What is your servant, that you should look upon such a dead dog as I?

Let Israel hope in Jehovah; for with Jehovah there is mercy, and with Him is plentiful redemption.

But I will deliver you in that day, says Jehovah. And you shall not be given into the hand of the men of whom you are afraid.

It is by Jehovah's kindnesses that we are not destroyed, because His mercies never fail.

To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgivenesses, though we have rebelled against Him.

He will turn again; He will have pity on us. He will trample our iniquities. Yea, You will cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.
