And Absalom sent to Joab, to send him to the king. But he would not come to him. And when he sent again a second time, he would not come.

And Absalom lived two full years in Jerusalem and did not see the king's face.

But the Queen Vashti refused to come at the king's command by his eunuchs. And the king was very angry, and his anger burned within him.

And he sent out his servants to call those who were invited to the wedding; and they would not come.
