And David comforted his wife Bathsheba. And he went in to her and lay with her. And she bore a son. And he called his name Solomon. And Jehovah loved him.

And Azariah the son of Nathan was over the officers, and Zabud the son of Nathan was the minister and the king's friend.

Behold, a son shall be born to you who shall be a man of rest. And I will give him rest from all his enemies all around. For his name shall be Solomon, and I will give peace and quietness to Israel in his days.

And these were born to him in Jerusalem Shimea, and Shobab, and Nathan, and Solomon, four of Bathsheba the daughter of Ammiel

Did not Solomon king of Israel sin by these things? Yet among many nations there was no king like him, who was beloved by his God, and God made him king over all Israel. But women from other lands caused even him to sin.

While he yet spoke, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them. And behold a voice out of the cloud which said, This is My beloved Son in whom I am well pleased, hear Him.

And lo, a voice from Heaven, saying, This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

Of Benjamin he said, The beloved of Jehovah shall live in safety beside Him, and shall cover him all the day long, yea he shall dwell between His shoulders.
