And in this I exercise myself, always to have a blameless conscience toward God and men.

And they will turn away their ears from the truth and will be turned to myths.

not giving heed to Jewish myths and commandments of men, turning away from the truth.

teaching us that having denied ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live discreetly, righteously and godly, in this present world,

But avoid foolish questions and genealogies and contentions, and strivings about the Law, for they are unprofitable and vain.

But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, even those who because of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
