And it happened when David and his men had come to Ziklag on the third day, the Amalekites had invaded the south and Ziklag, and had struck Ziklag, and burned it with fire.

And Isaac came from the way of the well, The Well of the Living One, my Beholder. For he lived in the south country.

And it happened after the death of Saul, David returned from the slaughter of the Amalekites, and David stayed two days in Ziklag,

on the third day, behold, a man came out of the camp from Saul with his clothes torn and earth upon his head. And it happened when he came to David, he fell to the earth and bowed to him.

And they helped David against the band, for they were all mighty men of power, and were commanders in the army.

For at that time they came to David day by day to help him, until it was a great army, like an army of God.

then they took all the men and went to fight with Ishmael the son of Nethaniah. And they found him by the great waters that are in Gibeon.

And Jehovah said to Joshua, Do not be afraid because of them, for tomorrow about this time I will deliver them up, all killed before Israel. You shall hamstring their horses and burn their chariots with fire.

and Ziklag, and Madmannah, and Sansannah,

And Saul struck the Amalekites from Havilah, as you come to Shur, which is over across from Egypt.

And he took Agag the king of the Amalekites alive. And he completely destroyed all the people with the edge of the sword.

And Achish gave him Ziklag that day. And Ziklag belongs to the kings of Judah to this day.

And now, rise up early in the morning with your master's servants who have come with you. And as soon as you have light, depart.

And David and his men rose up early to leave in the morning, to return into the land of the Philistines. And the Philistines went up to Jezreel.

And the rulers of the Philistines were angry with him. And the Philistine rulers said to him, Send the man back, and he shall return to his place where you have appointed him. And he shall not go down with us to battle, and shall not become an enemy to us in battle. For with what should he reconcile himself to his master? Should it not be with the heads of these men?

We raided the south of the Cherethites, and on that belonging to Judah, and on the south of Caleb. And we burned Ziklag with fire.
