But take heed lest by any means this liberty of yours becomes a stumbling block to those who are weak.

Make the weak hands strong and make the feeble knees sure.

And He shall say, Raise up! Raise up! Clear the way! Make the stumbling-block rise out of the way of My people.

Son of man, these men have set up their idols in their hearts, and put the stumbling-block of their iniquity before their face. Should I at all be inquired of by them?

But if anyone says to you, This is slain in sacrifice to idols, do not eat for the sake of him who showed it, and for conscience' sake; "for the earth is the Lord's, and the fullness of it";

conscience, I say, not your own, but the other's. For why is my liberty judged by another's conscience?

Give no offense, either to the Jews, or to the Greeks or to the church of God;

For if anyone sees you who have knowledge sitting in an idol temple, will not the weak one's conscience be lifted up so as to eat things sacrificed to idols?

And sinning in this way against your brothers, and wounding their conscience, being weak, you sin against Christ.

To the weak I became as the weak, so that I might gain the weak. I am made all things to all men, so that I might by all means save some.

I speak according to dishonor, as though we have been weak. But in whatever anyone dares (I speak foolishly), I also dare.

Who is weak, and I am not weak? Who is caused to stumble, and I do not burn?

We are in nothing giving cause of stumbling, in no way, so that the ministry may not be blamed,

For, brothers, you were called to liberty. Only do not use the liberty for an opening to the flesh, but by love serve one another.

Beware lest anyone rob you through philosophy and vain deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the elements of the world, and not according to Christ.

promising them liberty, they themselves are the slaves of corruption. For by whom anyone has been overcome, even to this one he has been enslaved.

But I have a few things against you, because you have there those who hold the teachings of Balaam, who taught Balak to cast a stumbling-block before the sons of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols and to commit fornication.
