And then indeed exhorting many things, he proclaimed the gospel to the people.

So then let us pursue the things of peace, and the things for building up one another.

Let every one of us please his neighbor for his good, to building up.

All things are lawful to me, but not all things profit. All things are lawful to me, but not all things build up.

Even so you, since you are zealots of spiritual things, seek to build up the church, in order that you may abound

For you truly give thanks well, but the other is not built up.

Then how is it, brothers? When you come together, each one of you has a psalm, has a teaching, has a tongue, has a revelation, has an interpretation. Let all things be for building up.

For you may all prophesy one by one, so that all may learn and all may be comforted.

But concerning the sacrifices to idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffs up, but love edifies.

He comforting us in all our trouble, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in every trouble, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

so that, on the contrary, you should rather forgive and comfort him, lest perhaps such a one should be swallowed up with overwhelming sorrow.

Let not any filthy word go out of your mouth, but if any is good to building up in respect of need, that it may give grace to the ones hearing.

whom I have sent to you for the same purpose, that you might know our affairs and that he might comfort your hearts.

I sent him to you for this very purpose, that he might know the things about you, and that he might comfort your hearts,

even as you know how we exhorted and comforted and testified to each one of you, as a father to his children,

Until I come, attend to reading, to exhortation, to teaching.

But you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,
