You have defiled your sanctuaries by the multitude of your iniquities, by the iniquity of your trade; therefore I have brought fire out from your midst; it has devoured you, and I have turned you to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all those who see you.

Treasures of wickedness profit nothing, but righteousness delivers from death.

He stretched out His hand over the sea, He shook the kingdoms; the Lord has given a command against the merchant city, to destroy its strongholds.

Ashkelon will observe this and fear; Gaza as well and will writhe in anguish; even Ekron, her hope will be confounded. The king of Gaza will perish, and no one will inhabit Ashkelon.
