They went to the fortress of Tyre and all of the towns of the Hivites and Canaanites. They went to the Negev and Beer-sheba.

All of King Solomon’s drinking cups were made of gold, and all the cups of the House of the Forest of Lebanon were made of pure gold. None were made of silver, for it was not considered valuable in the days of Solomon.

The king made silver to be in Jerusalem as plentiful as stones, and he made cedars to be as plentiful as sycamore trees in the valley.

Then you will lay up gold as dust, and the gold of Ophir as the stones of the brooks.

Though he heaps up silver like the dust and piles up clothing like the clay—

or with princes who had gold, who filled their houses with silver.

He stretched out His hand over the sea, He shook the kingdoms; the Lord has given a command against the merchant city, to destroy its strongholds.

Who has planned this against Tyre, the crowning city, whose merchants are princes, whose traffickers are the honorable of the earth?

They shall make a spoil of your riches, and a prey of your merchandise. And they shall break down your walls and destroy your pleasant houses. And they shall lay your stones and your timber and your dust in the midst of the water.

Your riches and your wares, your merchandise, your mariners and your pilots, your caulkers, and the dealers of your merchandise, and all your men of war who are in you, with all your company which is in your midst, shall fall into the midst of the seas in the day of your ruin.

When your wares went out by sea, you filled many peoples; you enriched the kings of the earth with the multitude of your riches and of your merchandise.

Now that you are broken by the seas in the depths of the waters, your merchandise and all your company in your midst have fallen.

The word of the Lord came again to me, saying:

Thus says the Lord: For three transgressions of Tyre, and for four, I will not revoke the punishment, because they delivered up an entire deportation to Edom, and did not remember the covenant of kinship.

Then the border turned to Ramah, reaching the fortified city of Tyre. Then the border turned to Hosah, and ended at the Mediterranean Sea by the region of Akzib,
