Surely My words and statutes that I commanded to My servants, the prophets, did they not persuade your fathers? They turned back and said, “Whatever the Lord of Hosts planned to do to us according to our ways and deeds, so He has done to us.”

This was the word of the Lord which He spoke to Jehu, “Your sons will sit on the throne of Israel to the fourth generation.” And it was so.

Turn, I pray, let there be no injustice! Yes, turn again, my righteousness still stands!

And the remainder of the number of archers, the mighty men of the Kedarites, shall be diminished, for the Lord God of Israel has spoken it.

who confirms the word of His servant and performs the counsel of His messengers, who says to Jerusalem, “You shall be inhabited,” and to the cities of Judah, “You shall be built.” And I will raise up her ruins again;

The anger of the Lord will not turn back until He has executed and performed the thoughts of His heart. In the latter days you will understand it perfectly.

But know for certain that if you put me to death, you will surely bring innocent blood upon yourselves and upon this city and upon the inhabitants. For truly the Lord has sent me to you to speak all these words in your ears.”

So Hananiah the prophet died the same year in the seventh month.

Behold, the siege ramps have come to the city to take it. And the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans who fight against it, because of the sword, and of the famine, and of the pestilence, and what You have spoken has come to pass, and behold, you see it.

Take again another scroll and write in it all the former words that were in the first book, which Jehoiakim the king of Judah has burned.

Go and speak to Ebed-melek the Cushite, saying: Thus says the Lord of Hosts, the God of Israel: Behold, I will fulfill My words against this city for harm and not for good. And they shall be accomplished in that day before you.

Circumcise yourselves to the Lord, and take away the foreskins of your heart, you men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem, lest My fury come forth like fire, and burn so that no one can quench it, because of the evil of your deeds.

Thus says the Lord of Hosts, the God of Israel: You have seen all the calamity that I have brought upon Jerusalem and upon all the cities of Judah. Behold, this day they are a desolation, and no man dwells in them,

Yet a small number who escape the sword shall return out of the land of Egypt into the land of Judah, and all the remnant of Judah who have gone into the land of Egypt to sojourn there will know whose words will stand, Mine or theirs.

“This will be a sign to you, says the Lord, that I will punish you in this place so that you may know that My words shall surely stand against you for disaster.

Therefore My fury and My anger was poured out and was kindled in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem; and they are ruined and desolate, as it is this day.

Therefore thus says the Lord God of Hosts: Because you speak this word, behold, I will make My words in your mouth fire and this people wood, and it shall devour them.

The Lord is in the right, for I have rebelled against His commandment. Hear now, all peoples, and see my sorrow; my virgins and my young men have gone into captivity.

The Lord has done what He planned; He has fulfilled His word that He had commanded in the days of old. He has thrown down and has not pitied, and He has caused the enemy to rejoice over you; He has exalted the power of your adversaries.

We have transgressed and rebelled; You have not pardoned.

There you shall remember your ways and all your deeds in which you have been defiled. And you shall loathe yourselves in your own sight for all your evils that you have committed.

Then He said to me, “Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. Behold, they say, ‘Our bones are dried up, and our hope is lost. We are cut off completely.’

All this came upon King Nebuchadnezzar.

Ephraim will become desolate in the day of punishment. Among the tribes of Israel I make known that which is sure.

All their wickedness is in Gilgal, for there I hated them. Because of the wickedness of their deeds, I will drive them out of My house. I will love them no more. All their princes are rebels.

All the sinners of My people will die by the sword, those who say, “Never will disaster reach or overtake us.”

On the twenty-fourth day, in the eleventh month, which is the month Shebat, during the second year of Darius, the word of the Lord came to the prophet Zechariah, son of Berekiah, son of Iddo:

Then you will again discern between the righteous and the wicked, between one who serves God and one who does not serve Him.

God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He spoken, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?

“But if you will not do so, behold, you have sinned against the Lord, and be sure your sin will find you out.

And what I had planned to do to them, I will do to you.

Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away.

But it will happen, if you will not listen to the voice of the Lord your God, by being careful to do all His commandments and His statutes which I am commanding you today, that all these curses will come upon you and overtake you.

And all these blessings will come on you and overtake you if you listen to the voice of the Lord your God.

The Lord will send cursing, vexation, and rebuke on you in all that you set your hand to do, until you are destroyed and until you perish quickly because of the wickedness of your doings, by which you have forsaken Me.

Moreover, all of these curses will come on you and will pursue you and overtake you, until you are destroyed, because you did not obey the voice of the Lord your God, by keeping His commandments and His statutes which He commanded you.

But you, brothers, are not in darkness so that this Day should overtake you as a thief.
