Cry out again, saying, Thus says the Lord of Hosts: Yet again My cities will overflow with goodness, and again the Lord will comfort Zion and choose Jerusalem.

but I have chosen Jerusalem for My name to dwell there, and I have selected David to be over My people Israel.’

The rest of Israel, the priests, and the Levites were in all the cities of Judah, everyone tending to his own inheritance.

Now these are the leaders of the provinces who lived in Jerusalem (though in the cities of Judah everyone lived on his own property within their cities): Israel, the priests, the Levites, the temple servants, and the descendants of Solomon’s servants.

For God will save Zion, and will build the cities of Judah, that they may dwell there and possess it.

For the Lord will have mercy on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and set them in their own land. Then the strangers shall be joined with them, and they shall cleave to the house of Jacob.

who confirms the word of His servant and performs the counsel of His messengers, who says to Jerusalem, “You shall be inhabited,” and to the cities of Judah, “You shall be built.” And I will raise up her ruins again;

Sing, O heavens! And be joyful, O earth! And break forth into singing, O mountains! For the Lord has comforted His people and will have mercy on His afflicted.

I, even I, am He who comforts you. Who are you that you should be afraid of a man who shall die, and of the son of man who shall be made as grass,

For the Lord shall comfort Zion, He will comfort all her waste places; He will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the Lord; joy and gladness shall be found in it, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody.

Break forth into joy, sing together, you waste places of Jerusalem. For the Lord has comforted His people; He has redeemed Jerusalem.

In a little wrath I hid My face from you for a moment; but with everlasting kindness I will have mercy on you, says the Lord your Redeemer.

As one whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort you; and you shall be comforted in Jerusalem.

Then the virgin shall rejoice in the dance, both young men and old together; for I will turn their mourning into joy, and will comfort them, and make them rejoice from their sorrow.

In the cities of the mountains, in the cities of the vale, and in the cities of the Negev, and in the land of Benjamin, and in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, shall the flocks pass again under the hands of him who numbers them, says the Lord.

It will be to Me a name of joy, praise, and honor before all the nations of the earth which shall hear of all the good that I do to them; and they will fear and tremble for all the goodness and for all the prosperity that I procure for it.

Thus says the Lord God: On the day that I cleanse you from all your iniquities, I will cause you to dwell in the cities, and the waste places shall be built.

I will restore the fortunes of My people Israel; they will rebuild the ruined cities and inhabit them; they will plant vineyards and drink their wine; they will make gardens and eat their fruit.

The exiles of this army of the Israelites, shall inherit the land of the Canaanites as far as Zarephath, and the exiles of Jerusalem who are in Sepharad shall inherit the cities of the Negev.

So the angel who spoke with me said, Cry out, saying: Thus says the Lord of Hosts: I have a great jealousy for Jerusalem and Zion.

And I then lifted up my eyes, and I saw four horns.

And the Lord will possess Judah as His portion in the holy land, and He will again choose Jerusalem.

and said to him, “Run, say to this young man: Jerusalem will be inhabited as villages without walls, because of the multitude of men and animals in her.

And the Lord said to the Adversary, “The Lord rebuke you, Adversary! The Lord who has chosen Jerusalem rebukes you! Is this not a burning brand taken out of the fire?”

just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, to be holy and blameless before Him in love;
