Therefore let us not sleep as others do. But let us be alert and sober.

Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honest, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think on these things.

If we are out of our minds, it is for God; if we are in our right mind, it is for you.

Everyone who strives for the prize exercises self-control in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown, but we an incorruptible one.

The grace of our Lord overflowed with the faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.

Do not rebuke an elder, but exhort him as a father, the younger men as brothers,

yet for love’s sake I rather appeal to you —I, Paul, an old man, and now also a prisoner of Jesus Christ —
