knowing this, that our old man has been crucified with Him, so that the body of sin might be destroyed, and we should no longer be slaves to sin.

The Lord will deliver me from every evil work and will preserve me for His heavenly kingdom, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the broken-hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed;

For he will deliver the needy when he cries, the poor also, and him who has no helper.

In Him you were also circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the sins of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ,

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.

He will again have compassion upon us. He will tread down our iniquities, and cast all of our sins into the depths of the sea.

My soul is consumed with longing for Your decrees at all times.

saying, “God has forsaken him; pursue and take him, for there is no one to deliver him.”

I am weary with my groaning; all night I flood my bed with tears; I drench my couch with my weeping.

Trouble and anguish have taken hold of me, but Your commandments are my delight.

I opened my mouth and panted, for I long for Your commandments.

abandoned among the dead, like the slain who lie in the grave, whom You remember no more, and who are cut off from Your hand.

For Your arrows pierce me, and Your hand presses down on me.

Not only that, but we also, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan within ourselves while eagerly waiting for adoption, the redemption of our bodies.
