Does this blessedness then come upon the circumcised only, or upon the uncircumcised also? We are saying that faith was credited to Abraham as righteousness.

Abram believed the Lord, and He credited it to him as righteousness.

He says, “It is a light thing that you should be My servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob and to restore the preserved ones of Israel; I will also make you a light to the nations so that My salvation may reach to the ends of the earth.”

How then was it credited? When he was in circumcision? Or in uncircumcision? Not in circumcision, but in uncircumcision.

What does the Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.”

so that the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

To me, the very least of all saints, was this grace given, to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,

where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free, but Christ is all and in all.
