In this do I always strive to have a clear conscience toward God and toward men.

I know and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus that nothing is unclean in itself, but to him who considers anything to be unclean, to him it is unclean.

For one has faith to eat all things, but he who is weak eats only vegetables.

But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because it is not from faith, for whatever is not from faith is sin.

One man judges one day above another; another judges every day alike. Let each one be fully persuaded in his own mind.

Therefore you are without excuse, O man, whoever you are who judges, for when you judge another, you condemn yourself, for you who judge do the same things.

For what I am doing, I do not understand, for I do not practice what I will to do, but I do the very thing I hate.

O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from the body of this death?

However, not everyone has this knowledge. Some, being accustomed to the idol until now, eat the food as a thing offered to an idol. So their weak conscience is defiled.

For our rejoicing is this: The testimony of our conscience is that we conducted ourselves in the world, and more abundantly toward you, in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God.

Brothers, if a man is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore such a one in the spirit of meekness, watching yourselves, lest you also be tempted.

Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show his works by his good life in the meekness of wisdom.

Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, then we have confidence before God.
