But when we are judged, we are disciplined by the Lord, so that we would not be condemned with the world.

Remember therefore from where you have fallen. Repent, and do the works you did at first, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your candlestick from its place, unless you repent.

You shall say to them: This is a nation that does not obey the voice of the Lord their God or receive correction. Truth has perished, and has been cut off from their mouth.

Lord, in trouble they have sought You; they poured out a prayer when Your chastening was on them.

Folly is bound up in the heart of a child, but the rod of correction will drive it far from him.

He who refuses instruction despises his own soul, but he who heeds reproof gains understanding.

for zeal for Your house has consumed me, and the reproaches of those who reproach You have fallen upon me.

When with rebukes You correct man for sin, You consume like a moth what is precious to him; surely every man is mere vapor.   Selah

You must also consider in your heart that, as a man disciplines his son, so the Lord your God disciplines you.

Blessed is the man who endures temptation, for when he is tried, he will receive the crown of life, which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.

who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all lawlessness and purify for Himself a special people, zealous of good works.

do not be lazy in diligence, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord,

He who disciplines the nations, shall He not correct? He teaches man knowledge!

O  Lord, do not rebuke me in Your anger, nor discipline me in the heat of Your anger.

I will be a father to him, and he will be a son to Me. When he goes astray, I will correct him with the rod of men and afflictions of the sons of men.

Discipline is severe for him who forsakes the way, and he who hates reproof will die.

But it is good to be zealous in a good manner always and not only when I am present with you.

She obeys no voice, she receives no correction; she does not trust in the Lord, she does not draw near to her God.

In vain I have smitten your children; they received no correction. Your own sword has devoured your prophets like a destroying lion.
