The Lord knows the thoughts of man, that they are futile.
Yet for Your sake we are killed all day long; we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.
For I know their works and their thoughts. The time shall come to gather all nations and tongues. And they shall come and see My glory.
For it is written: “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.”
For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through its wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of preaching to save those who believe.
For the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
and again, “The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.”
