Lord, You have been favorable to Your land; You have brought back the captivity of Jacob.

All the articles of gold and silver were five thousand four hundred. All these did Sheshbazzar bring up, when the exiles were brought from Babylon to Jerusalem.

Oh, that the salvation of Israel would come from Zion! When the Lord turns back the captivity of His people, Jacob will rejoice; Israel will be glad.

As the deer pants for the water brooks, so my soul pants for You, O God.

“Will the Lord reject forever? Will He be favorable no more?

Thus says the Lord: Behold, I will restore the fortunes of Jacob’s tents and have mercy on his dwelling places; and the city will be built upon her own heap, and the palace will remain on its rightful place.

Thus says the Lord of Hosts, the God of Israel: Once again they shall use this speech in the land of Judah and in the cities when I restore their fortunes: “May the Lord bless you, O habitation of righteousness and mountain of holiness!”

Therefore thus says the Lord God: Now I will restore the fortunes of Jacob and have mercy on the whole house of Israel and will be jealous for My holy name.

Then the Lord became jealous for His land and took pity upon His people.

In those days and at that time, when I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem,

then will I remember My covenant with Jacob, and also My covenant with Isaac, and also My covenant with Abraham, and I will remember the land.

Therefore thus says the Lord: I have returned to Jerusalem with mercy, and My house will be built in it, says the Lord of Hosts, and a measuring line will be stretched over Jerusalem.
