Then I called upon the name of the Lord: “O  Lord, I beseech You, deliver my soul.”

For You have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, and my feet from stumbling.

Deliver my soul, O  Lord, from lying lips, from a deceitful tongue.

The Lord will keep you from all evil; He will keep your soul.

How long must I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart daily? How long will my enemy be exalted over me?

Arise, O  Lord! Confront him, cast him down! Deliver my soul from the wicked by Your sword,

Deliver my soul from the sword, my precious life from the power of the dog!

Do not remember the sins of my youth or my transgressions; according to Your lovingkindness remember me, for Your goodness’ sake, O  Lord.

But as for me, my prayer is to You, O  Lord, at an acceptable time; O God, in the abundance of Your mercy, answer me in the truth of Your salvation.

O God, how long will the adversary revile? Will the enemy blaspheme Your name forever?

How long, O  Lord? Will You be angry forever? Will Your jealousy burn like fire?

Return, we beseech You, O God of Hosts; look down from heaven and see; have regard for this vine,

For great is Your mercy toward me; You have delivered my soul from the depths of Sheol.

Return, O  Lord! How long? Have compassion on Your servants!

Behold, it was for my own peace that I had great bitterness; but You have kept my soul from the pit of corruption, for You have cast all my sins behind Your back.

O my God, incline Your ear and hear. Open Your eyes and look at our desolations and the city which is called by Your name, for we do not present our supplications before You for our righteousness, but for Your great mercies.

From the days of your fathers you have gone away from My ordinances and have not kept them. Return to Me, and I will return to you, says the Lord of Hosts. But you say, “How shall we return?”

to the praise of the glory of His grace which He graciously bestowed on us in the Beloved.
