Blessed is he who considers the poor; the Lord will deliver him in the day of trouble.

He has given freely; he has given to the poor; his righteousness endures forever; his horn will be exalted with honor.

Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.

They shall not be ashamed in evil times, and in the days of famine they shall have abundance.

The righteous is ever generous and lends, and his descendants become a blessing.

He who despises his neighbor sins, but blessed is he who has mercy on the poor.

The wrath of kings is as messengers of death, but a man of wisdom will appease it.

He who has pity on the poor lends to the Lord, and He will repay what he has given.

Remember your Creator in the days of your youth, before the difficult days come and the years draw near when you say, “I have no pleasure in these days and years”;

But I will deliver you in that day, says the Lord, and you shall not be given into the hand of the men of whom you are afraid.

You always have the poor with you, and whenever you wish, you may do good to them. But you will not always have Me.

In all things I have shown you how, working like this, you must help the weak, remembering the words of the Lord Jesus, how He said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’  ”

Only they requested that we should remember the poor, which I also was eager to do.

Now we exhort you, brothers, warn those who are unruly, comfort the faint-hearted, support the weak, and be patient toward everyone.

for God is not unjust so as to forget your work and labor of love that you have shown for His name, in that you have ministered to the saints and continue ministering.

For he who has shown no mercy will have judgment without mercy, for mercy triumphs over judgment.

Because you have kept My word of patience, I also will keep you from the hour of temptation which shall come upon the entire world, to test those who dwell on the earth.

Her mother-in-law said to her, “Where did you glean today, and where did you work? May he who took notice of you be blessed.” So she told her mother-in-law with whom she had worked, and said, “The name of the man with whom I worked today is Boaz.”
