He walked in the way of his father Asa, and he did not turn aside from doing what was right in the eyes of the Lord.

Then said Saul, “I have sinned. Return, my son David, for I will not harm you again, because my soul was precious in your eyes this day. And behold, I have acted foolishly, and have seriously gone astray.”
