Stir up Yourself, and awake for my defense, for my cause, my God and my Lord!
Plead my cause and redeem me; give me life according to Your word.
I cried out to You, O Lord; I said, “You are my refuge, my portion in the land of the living.”
Awake! Why do You sleep, O Lord? Arise! Do not cast us off forever!
Why do You hide Your face? Why do you forget our affliction and our oppression?
For no fault of mine, they run and prepare themselves. Awake to help me, and take notice!
Arise, O Lord, in Your anger; rise up because of the rage of my adversaries, and awaken Yourself for me; You have commanded justice.
So shall the congregation of the peoples surround You; For their sakes, therefore, return on high.
May the evil of the wicked come to an end; may You vindicate the righteous; You are a righteous God who examines the minds and hearts.
Arise, O God, plead Your own cause; remember how the foolish man reproaches You daily.
Before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh, stir up Your strength, and come and save us!
He shall cry to Me, ‘You are my Father, my God, and the rock of my salvation.’
Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of the Lord. Awake as in the ancient days, in the generations of old. Was it not You who cut Rahab to pieces and wounded the dragon?
O Lord, You have seen the wrong done to me; judge my case.
Thomas answered Him, “My Lord and my God!”
